 Anatomy of Dance

Is a dance project , which is established in 2007when after the graduating Latvia Culture Academy, dance department such young choreographers as Elina Breice, Agnese Bordjukova, Monta Vandere, Sintija Silina came together to create a new, independent scene – open for dance and other fields of art ( photo, video, music, theatre, DJ, visual arts ), what would be open for collaborations and would create something original and new. The main challenge for Dance Anatomy was to look for new forms, new possibilities, to be aware of new technical and creative potencial.

Already in fall of the same year Dance Anatomy experienced two performances in VEF Culture Palace – Ribs ( choreographer – Elina Breice ) and Footsteps ( choreographer – Agnese Bordjukova ). In spring of 2008 audience was invited to see two new dance pieces. One of them -  Thirst  ( Choreographer - Elina Breice) participated at international dance festival New Baltic Dance 08 in Vilnius. Another - Somehow Like That… ( Choreographer – Serghey Zemlanskis ( Russia ) participated at festivalk of duets Diversia in Kostroma, Russia.

The main challenge for Dance Anatomy was to look for new forms, new possibilities, to be aware of new technical and creative potencial. Open and independent scene has always been a precondition of the company. Syntheses of movement, dance and everything you can imagine, research of dance and collaboration with other fields of art such as film, photo, theatre, music, visual arts, DJ – these are priorities of Dance Anatomy
