Some of the signs of Petersburg’s spring served us as the main inspiration source: the stored waste which got suddenly revealed through melted snow; the lost look of a bit swollen pigeons; frozen down rats drifted in canals; and some other creatures of the city’s urban landscapes.
As in any journey we were mostly interested in the process of moving through the space, forms and states; and also in the perception’ metamorphoses of the journey’s participants featuring audience as one of the travelers.

Evgeny Pankratov, performer, S.-Petersburg
Evgeny Pankratov was born in Petrazavodsk (Karelia, Russia).
In 2008 Evgeny left Folkwang Hochschule (Essen, Germany) after 3 years of studies. He was a member of Ben J. Riepe’s Company from 2004 to 2009. Evgeny also worked with such choreographers as VA Wölf, Leonard A. Cruz, Stefan Brinkmann, Rodolpho Leoni, Lior Shneior, Malou Airaudo and Juan Kruz Dias de Garraio Esnaola. His duo with Tatiana Gordeeva New Geometry is the first independent work after his return to Russia.
Tatiana Gordeeva, performer and teacher, S.-Petersburg / Moscow
Tatiana graduated from Moscow Ballet Academy in 1990 with the diploma of excellence and danced as a soloist in the Kremlin State ballet in 1990 – 1999. She joined Sasha Pepelyaev’s contemporary dance project in 1995. Tatiana has been performing in all the project’s productions and participated in more than 70 festivals. She started making her own works in 2006. Her solos were presented at various festivals in Russia and abroad including Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis in 2008. Tatiana’s collaboration with Evgeny Pankratov is the latest of the duo’s works since 2009; the other ones are with noise musician Nick Sudnick (S.Petersburg) and dancer and choreographer Vladimir Golubev (Chelyabinsk, Russia).
