Perl glitters reflect in the shadow

But trone-pretender often makes sick

Teens stuff yellow fruits of plum in mouthes and pockets

Neither kings nor monsters throw plums from the throne

Feeling close to heart scent – truthful, pure, no words to describe

Passionate and mindless you fall nude into the darkness

Heartbeat in deadly silence so alike to menuet

not 18 pure words, but cristal clear steps

Madness, or nightmare you won’t reach the throne

To shut glued to the throne ordinary monster’s mouth with the plum

Clear eyes washed in stream waters

18 words not pure, but the steps will play the role

The forest is. The forest does not do what you want, and the sea does not roll when we need it. About what we leave behind us and what stays behind me. About what we can give and what we do give away. About what is taken without asking. About the forsaken, the gifted, the spare, the most valuable, the thickness of air, wind, breath, warmth. About our differences and similarities. About the fact that we come and go, but the forest IS. Two, but one.

A duet, but two solos.

There is a thick space around, as if the other does not exist. Responsibility for our deeds, for the shade that is climbing and getting wet in attempts to reach you. Is it possible to measure and summarize the traces of our corporeal existence in time and space?

At the end there is nothing. Forward – to the place, from which you arrived.

Shift of the focus, relations and indifference of the center and margins. It’s impossible to tell who is leaving the traces in whom.

I don’t know if the trace of the boot on my back is not my own.

Two and One Hug (’15)

Created specially for DACEUNION festival at Southbank Centre, London.

Everything is so simple as you can imagine. There is. There is not. There I contact. There is no contact. Simple things don’t have a history. Only simple things are worth remembering. Always new. Always the first time. Looking for the feeling of home under the branches of an old linden tree. The never changing waltz. He says that it doesn’t has to do with him. It has nothing to do with his hug. But technically it has.

Choreography: Olga Zitluhina & dancers

Quick Time Player (’25)

New and improved version, of course, is better than the previous one, which came out yesterday.

Is that time, which demands new and again improved stuff with never needed features?

No laters, no I should think, no afterwards. Afterwards it could be more expensive, more complicated. Easy access shakes hands with all we have and we go on with downloading till terabyte gets to small.

Quick living? Quick learning? Quick forgetting?

Relative in relation to things standing next.

Huge amount happening, grate slowness entering.

Is there a certain amount of possible speed in the room? In case somebody uses all of that, others stay with nothing?

More gestures make speaker voice quite when we listen.

Five seconds of time to look up at the sky and become full, pure and shining.

Body rests in the comfortable armchair. In the real time it sits still. During Quick Time it keeps running, chasing muscles, skin and breath.

Things happen fast, but there is always time to see, to hear, to feel.

Certain amount of time for everybody. To be with people. We don’t know how long.

Our time and our people. Being with the beauty together.

Bicycle (’60 or ’30 – short version)

Collecting and arranging.

Moving and fighting.

Work is done.

Dreams were built.

Great moment comes.

When good is bad.

This is happiness and joy.

To join things in entire whole.

Work is inspired by the play Half-idealist by famous Latvian poet Rainis. This is a project where new and working methods are tried and questions about the relations among text, inspiration, dance and theoretical approach to the arts are asked. The collaboration between the choreographer and dramaturge bringing in direct interpreted and speculative information is very important. The aim is to provide unity and harmony of creative process in order to answer whether we – as half-idealists can approach something we can call an ideal? And is it necessary?

Quarttescope

Quarttescope is a dance piece that blends itself to many states of transformation. By framing the space we have created, a springboard to play with. Four dancers interpret, create and collaborate with me. It is a delicate balance between translating a process of improvised and set material. Of creating something real and unreal the scope is improbable. There are many layers. The dance is visual insight of our journey together so far. It is made up of four elements: the dancers, the light design, the music and the watcher. It is only when the fourth element is present that frame becomes whole.

With this in reference it is hoped that you, the watcher, can help open up another window of events to witness the depth of this work. (Andrea Buckley)

Take 735

Dancy and musical play for men

Whether man is a hero…the meaning of heroism…

THEY are located in the private and public women-proof space.

What I want is a peace at the TV. I love fishing.

So many details to think about. Silence and nature, nobody ask questions.

I control the situation, I move forward.

And if suddenly something goes wrong,

I can by 735 and then no speed limits.

Seven dancers, four musicians, 10X10 meters of light gray dance floor in the center of Dream Factory.

Nobody is born; nobody gets married; nobody dies. Any memory losses and recovery in fresh white painted hospital rooms.

No owl’s involved.

We are constantly on the road, traveling from one destination to another. Situations and people around us keep changing constantly – the mad race of the end of the century as opposite to a monotonous trip that seems to last forever.
