Workshop “Reality and Imagination”

Reality and Imagination

The classes will be a game to play with the reality and imagination in our minds. After realizing how much imagination comes into our real movement it becomes even more fun to play with the movement and gives even more space for exploration. For example – I imagine that my center is placed on the most stabile place in relationship with my partner. Or – I take the first physical contact impulse to move from partner and then – how  is my dance further connected to communication in reality and how soon imaginary world overtake me? Playing with letting it come and go. Or I imagine that I am so far from the floor – scary and then meeting reality – phe! So, sometimes being aware of reality pushes fear away.

We will start warming up with games that trains reaction, creates light group atmosphere and moves towards dynamic class. In continuation we will explore exercises connected to visual, audial, touch, kinesthetic impulses, weight transfer, flow, surprises.

May be reality can be as exciting as imaginary world.
